The Transparency of European funds in Romania - Investigative journalism. Free Access to Information of Public Interest. Media Analysis. Case Studies

ActiveWatch-Media Monitoring Agency and the Romanian Center for Investigative Journalism ended on October 22nd the series of national events organised in Cluj, Iasi and Bucharest on the occasion of the launch of the "Transparency of European Funds in Romania - Investigative Journalism" report.

The report contains a double research to evaluate the rate at which citizens are informed concerning the way European public money is spent. The first part of the research aimed at the quality of information resources found at the disposal of public institutions involved in the process of European funds accession. The second part aimed at the way in which that information is capitalized by the Media in order for it to be accessible to the final beneficiary, the citizen.
