We congratulate The Romanian Peasant Museum (RPM) for its decision to host cultural events included within "LGBT History Month" organized by Accept Romania. We believe that The Museum's coordinators proved their openness to cultural issues of great importance and actuality. We are aware that there have been voices criticizing the RPM team’s decision, but those ones ignore the human rights core values. We therefore support the RPM team in this decision!

The LGBT History Month takes place simultaneously in February in eight countries. It explores LGBT life and culture through documentaries, exhibitions, theatre, debates and workshops. We believe this is an important cultural event, showing diversity and respect.

The Museum’s team should not be influenced in their decision by any message promoted by extreme right online publication.
